Monday

Missed

seconds late for a train to somewhere
where would you turn if it wasn't for love

how fickle the know hows when it comes to the ordinary
how quick the forget me nots have turned into dust

you said it wasn't crazy if you followed me nowhere
between dusk and dawn, your pages of lust
i've moved many times but yet haven't moved forward
had to know if this feeling was more than a must

in sweat and in tears, i have forced you to love me
your cowardness has always been easy to forgive
bring me my jacket, my shoes and please call me
i'd steal you away, but i'm not a thief

bliss on your face as you enter the train station
if you weren't late, where would you have gone

Please don't forget me as I wave good bye to you
Please don't stand still as if i'm coming back.

Thursday

Grandfather

Sometimes I fear the lyrics of a poet
that cut the throat, and break the heart
the paper and the writing on it
the shaking hand always on guard

Sometimes I loath the music of the angels
the truth that rings inside the head
with every note, the shape of longing changes
the strings burn colors, from blue to red

Sometimes I hide from paintings of an artist
closing my eyes from seeing world through his
not touching life, but watching it like martyrs
not being sure of what it is we miss

Sometimes I tear when listening to voices
that made me smile some time ago
the blinking memories of our choices
of yesterdays we haven't yet let go

it is the honesty that burns our hands
when touching sun, it's not the light we notice
running away to comfortable grey
when listening to melodies of stories

But know, I'll never turn away from what you've told me
And I would never dare look past your gaze
I am, sometimes, becoming more impatient
because in art, I'm always searching for your face.

Daydream

I dream it little
I dream it big
after the sun goes down
before the sky is lit
you are, before the day is over
you are, after the week is gone

and simple complications
are like the winding roads
no end, no destination
just traffic in my thoughts

come on, just say it's over
come by, let's spend some time
and no, let's not be sober
we'll drink until it's fine

brief moments, conversations
brief glances through the glass
i'll make it home whenever,
you'll make it home alas

and while the time is melting
in backs of our heads
in front of our eyes
what we could've had instead

come on, just say it's over
come on, just spend some time
and when we're finally sober
again, you won't be mine.

Wednesday

Happiness

well there you have it
shredded glass on dusty floor
and a wine glass on the T.V
stranger's voices in your head
stranger's smells left on your bed

there you have your perfect day
with glossy eyes, and ignored phone calls
with friends with one too many problems

there it is, it's yours to take
the let downs, upsides, and the laughter
the conversations about heartbreak
and promises of better judgements

there you have it, here it is
amidst the thoughts in the abyss
between the lovers and careers
before the cigarettes and beers
after love making and the tears
inside your head, within your fears

it is
it is
it really is
and there you have it...
